The 17th Annual Art For Life Auction is on Saturday, November 13th, 2010, at Vancouver's Five Sixty Club and the upstairs Belkin-Blanket-Presentation House Satellite Galleries at 560 Seymour Street.
WHY?
Proceeds benefit the Vancouver Friends for Life Society, which provides FREE health and support services to individuals living with life threatening illnesses. ART FOR LIFE has raised over $1,000,000 since its inception, enabling us to provide complimentary therapies such as massage, alternative therapies, meals, exercise and social programs.
AFL strives to support the arts community by providing exposure to emerging and established artists. The event, catalogue and website profile donating galleries and artists, and have for sixteen years introduced new audiences to the arts community. The auction provides a way for people to support FFL, and hang a reminder in their home of the wider community of care they have become a part of. Produced with significant volunteer labour, the event costs are kept low, and the resulting net profits are exceptionally high for such an event.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Vancouver Friends For Life Society.
